Storefront Update
Lululemon partnered with Quadrangle Architects and contracted ASTOUND Group to facilitate the fabrication and installation of their brand new custom retail storefronts for stores across the Greater Toronto Area. The first store to receive a new treatment was the Eaton Center location, followed by the Mapleview store in Burlington, Ontario. The Mapleview store received 22 unique panels that featured sheet metal triangles folded to shape using advances press brake techniques. Each panel included a number of these custom triangles that can be easily dismantled individually for ease of maintenance and repairs.
The exterior of the Lululemon store in the Mapleview Mall features a custom metal fascia above the entrance. The metal panels were all powder-coated in mid-sheen white to help create a clean and sophisticated appearance that adhered to the specific storefront regulations of this particular mall.
